Dona Letty
Posted 28 June 2008 - 11:49 AM (#1) T
Hi there-
We are trying to find where Dona Letty sells her amazing tortas. There was an interview with her a few months back but we are not sure where she is located. Thanks

Dona Lety is located on Calle Revolucion heading south from the plaza, behind the store Costa Mesa. The window where she sells her fabulous tortas is just 20 steps along, on the right.

Good for Lety! She is hard working woman and an amazing cook. Glad to hear she is taking a summer break.
lety is very clean. i am mexican and i dont recomend the other torta spot, located on the corner of mariscal and marlin, i think its called tortas santos or somenthing like that, the cook is a very fat lady, she is very dirty, and the dust, ohh man, i am always sick when i eat there, only for locals with iron stomach!!!!

I eat at the one at Marlin and Mariscal often, especially during the summer when it's too hot to cook at home. I pick up a torta before heading up the hill to go home. Never been sick once. Dona Lety is fantastic and definitely better but the other one you mention is good too. And why did you mention that the cook is very fat? How does that have anything to do with the quality of her food?

Dona Lety...my mouth waters when I think of those tortas. We ate them for lunch 6 out of 10 days! They are sooooooo good. By far the best bang for my peso in Sayulita.

Where is she located? I have eaten at her old location before but couldn't find her on our last trip.
Many thanks.
