Travel Channel coming to Sayulita

I am endeavering to bring Anthony Bourdains 'No Reservations' to Sayulita this Spring for filming. Just in case I have missed some really superb 'international' style eateries please make suggestions. Also looking for any activities I might have overlooked that make great watching.....Thank you.

I can't recommend LUPE highly enough to you. Owned by the wonderful Upi Viteri, the food is exquisite, the decor of her small restaurant is crisp and light as flaky pastry, and her kitchen is spotless and frankly looks made to be on TV!

A couple of other suggestions, from all over the map: MANGIAFUOCO, said by many to have the best Italian food outside Italy (and owned by two guys from Italy); A BICYCLETTE, wonderful French food and owned by a wonderful French couple; and the best traditional Mexican food in Sayulita is found at ANTONIA.

I hope that's "international" enough for you! So many great places here in Sayulita.

You should also think San Pancho --

Mar Plata was chosen by Conde Nast as one the top 100 new restaurants in the world

And

La Ola Rica has been chosen 3 years in a row by Fodors as one of the best restaurants in PV (quite a feat since it is not in Vallarta.

I think lupe's is a grand idea, too. But, also, its good to sample some of the real local, street food.

No visit to Sayulita, let alone Nayarit, is complete without going to the source. Monday Salsa Night at Don Pedro's

The best weekly dance party in Nayarit. Authentic Cuban Salsa with the most eclectic crowd - local villagers, surfers, expats, rancheros, break dancers, and tourists come from surrounding villages and even PV to dance the night away on the beach. Not to be missed. Everyone dons their best Salsa outfits to strut their stuff. A true locals in-the-know dance party on the beach.

There's also a fantastic Flamenco Guitar performance every Thursday night for romantic evenings under the palapa.

Both special nights made for TV.

I know it is not in Sayulita but I would say check out El Arrayan in PV.

i love CAFE DEL MAR in San Pancho, or Le Byciclete by the elementary school also Chile Relleno has some wonderful authentic mexican dishes like the true as the name itself says, chile relleno, their fantastic molcajete azteca, made with chipotle sauce and served with steak stripes, panela cheese, roasted onios, and chorizo, served on a rock dish we call molcajete. enjoy it.

Sayulita Fish Tacos and Rollies are absolute musts as are any of the pollo stands.

I love to watch Anthony Bourdain when he goes to natural locations and tries some of the local fare. One beautiful spot that is like a real Mexican experience and delicious local seafood is " Playa Chacala" about 50 minutes north of Sayulita. "Chico's" restaurant on the beach has the best Salsa Verde you have ever tasted, as well as lots of succulent seafood selections, like the Sarendeado which is butterflied whole fish slow cooked over wood and basted with special sauces and butter.
ps. probably shouldn't be giving away this hidden gem....
