    Long term rental in Sayulita

My first time in Sayulita, and I knew where to go or not to go, based on the Forum posts. It was Mexican for me, all the way! I especially loved El Itacate, the taco place open during the day, as opposed to El Ivan, which was only open at night. Both were superb, but Itacate had a good variety of meats/fish with a variety of condiments. Tacos & Beer (with the two fish hanging above the door) was also a must. If you want beer at the previously named taco places, feel free to go to the nearby store and buy a can or two.

The Italian restaurant, Miro Vino, I promised not to go into, wanting only Mexican food this time around. But you know what it's like when you are with someone who wants to go, and I am so glad I acquiesced! Sticking to the idea of seafood in this fishing village, we ordered the calamari. Well, how to describe the most incredible calamari I have EVER had... let's see. Sautéed in what must have been butter and... (olive oil?), with some spices that were special enough to make this the top taste in town for me. Not over-cooked or undercooked, but just right! And the red wine was superb!

I must say I stuck to street tacos, and yes, I tried Mary's food ~ delicious! With no sign, I found it from the photos posted on El Sayulero ~ thank you, Ian. I was also told about a place that only the locals go to, Chilly Willy's, just past Rollie's on the left side of the street. All the food I had in Sayulita did not disappoint me, as I tried to find the 'local' places and stayed away from the touristy restaurants. I was very much aware of some of the places mentioned in this Forum to stay away from, and I did. Thus, all three of us were rewarded by fantastic food every day of our stay! We'll all be back, and soon!
