First, yes the waiter tells you one price, and of couse its alot more when you get the bill.
The scam starts from the moment you sit down. There is not a menu, just the items listed on the paper place mats. Then there are no prices for food or drinks.
The food is not good and then comes the bill with like a 100 pesos added to each dish ordered!
The chicken is very dry, all the appetizers are weak.
Again do not eat here and spend your money in the local restaurants and not the CHAIN!

I agree!! I'd rather spend my money in one of the wonderful local restaurants run by great people rather than spend my money where they try to cheat you!!

Where is this place? And why does anyone even pay for items where the price was misquoted by 100 pesos? What are they going to do, call the Tourist Police on you?

La Bodeguita del Medio in Sayulita is on Calle Revolucion, across from the "borracho tree" and not far from the bridge (on the plaza side of the river). They have five other restaurants in Mexico and several throughout the world. For better or worse (and based on the reviews it's mostly for worse), they are among the first big chains to come to town.

Thanks, yesi! No offense was intended and I like "La Glorieta" or "el arbol del viejito" MUCH better.
