Recently we had dinner at the new Cuban restaurant....BEWARE !! We were quoted a price which increased by 100 pesoes each when the bill came. Inquiring had no affect and we were stuck with an outrageous bill for fish and chips...much more than we would pay anywhere.Unfortunately I would not reccommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is a chain, they have one in Puerto Vallarta. We were over charged there also.

Where is this place and what's the name? What do you mean you were "quoted a price?" They don't have a menu? You should have paid that price and walked out. I don't get it. Is there more to this story?

The same thing happened to us. We sat down, and the waiter came to the table and verbally listed the items on the menu with prices. There were not very many items and they were pictured on the place-mat (without prices) I ordered a shrimp dish that he quoted around $79 pesos, which in reality was $180 pesos when the bill came. Nothing on our bill was as quoted. We kind of blew it off since the food was so bad we knew we would not return or recommend the place. We also thought maybe their menus were not ready yet since it was a few days after opening. The Mojitos were very tasty, however, on special they were $60 pesos apiece and mostly ice and mint. I do have to say my shrimp dish was very good, but not worth the $180 pesos, no one else in our group of 8 liked their food at all!!

Maybe I am being naive, but why are people paying the price? Why do you not just refuse? This seems to happen from time to time in restaurants down there and it seems like the behavior will just continue unless people take a stand.

We had heard others complain about this as we sat and ate delicious Tacos el Ivan.
