My family and I will be heading to Sayulita in April. we are so excited. I have visited several beach cities in Mexico but this will be our first time to Sayulita. I LOVE having my coffee and breakfast with my "toes in the sand." Is there a good spot in Sayulita for some breakfast and good coffee on the beach? Nothing fancy, plastic tables and chairs are fine with me. Also my husband loves street tacos, he likes to walk around sampling them all afternoon sometimes. Gets tiring but at least we are working off all those tacos and beer, right? Are there any taco spots we should absolutely avoid?

Breakfast On The Beach And Tacos On The Street?
Posted 06 January 2011 - 11:42 AM (#2)
One of our favourite places for "toes in the sand" breakfasting is just north of the river in front of the campground. The days and hours can be sporadic so you might want to go by one day and ask if they'll be open the next day for breakfast. It's pretty and peaceful, which is just the way to start the day.
For taco places to avoid? Can't really think of any. Taco places to try: Tacos el Ivan is very popular. Most taco stands are only open in the evenings, however, so your husband may have to "make do" with delicious tortas or something similar for lunch from one of the many loncherias along the Calle Revolucion boulevard as you head into town on the north side of the river.

Hola! We actually have restaurants in town called "BreakFast (Natural Foods)" which is on the beach, and a favorite taco joint called "Tacos on the Street." (I actually thought this post was a review of those places) Both are excellent and should definitely be on your list of places to eat. BreakFast has yummy breakfast burritos, delicious healthy smoothies, and great coffee (and great nachos for lunch). Tacos on the Street has some of the best carne asada tacos as well as grilled veggie tacos and delicious desserts made by the co-owner, Sandrita.
Almost all of the taco stands in Sayulita are delicious and offer their own style so be sure to try as many as you can. El Bicho, Tacos and Beer, the new Itocate, Taco'orriendo, and of course Tacos Pastor "El Ivan" are some of our favorites, along with Tacos on the Street.
Enjoy your visit!
