If you could choose just one restaurant for a nice seafood dinner, in either Sayulita or San Pancho, what would it be? ... $ is not a factor.
Yes I know that is probably a very hard question for you folks, but unlike you I only get to choose one! darn it.
I suppose since im asking I should also ask if you only had one day, where would you eat!
Thanks everyone! your answers are very much appreciated.

MY answer to both of your questions would be, without a doubt, "la ola rica" on tercer mundo in san pancho. from breakfast to lunch on the beach, a sunset cocktail with snack and then on to a fine dinner, the "ola rica" family of eateries can serve you anything you could want or need during your stay. just get on tercer mundo and look for the "ola rica" brand! trini and gloria have set a very high standard for all restuarants in san pancho, you won't be disappointed.

I would go to Don Pedro right on the beach. I've never had a bad meal there. The last time I was at Ola Rica both my Mom and I left very unimpressed. Her fish portion was very small and not real tasty. Maybe it was just an off night for them but DP is always good, even for breakfast.

As I sit here in Canada with 2 feet of snow on the ground I also think of many great lunches, snacks and dinners at Don Pedros, watching the surfers or the sun go down over the hills. Don Pedros would have to be my choice although I have not been to Ola Rico in San Pancho. Don Pedros is the place I go to on cold days when I have to shovel the driveway. Enjoy your night out and a great dinner no matter where you go.

Don Pedro's won't dissapoint you or Mar Plata in San Pancho and Cafe del Mar. I don't like La Ola RIca. Those 3 are the best restaurants in San Pancho-Sayulita.

We absolutely love Calypso for fantastic Tuna, nice Wine and great service. They also have a great Prawn Alfredo Pasta.

Was just in Sayulita with my extended family and had dinners at Sayulita Cafe, Calypso, Tropical House and Don Pedros... Sayulita Cafe was by far the best dinner we had... The Chile Rillenos and the mole sauce were absolutely unbelieveble... Calypso and Tropical House were also very good and Don Pedro's was decent - definitely not traditional Mexican food and living in Manhattan I can get all these dishes prepared better at a number of restaurants... Burrito revolution is also off the charts and Antonio is a great guy!!!

I agree Sayulita Cafe is my favorite in town too, they have a small intimate feel, good foor and great prices for the portions.

Ola Rica is the place to go if your in San Pancho

If I could only pick one place I would pick my favorite place, Miro Vino... great menu, amazing food, very creative. Having said that, Don Pedros is a must with its beach location and consistently good food, we just ate Christmas dinner there and were not disappointed. Another favorite is Sayulita Cafe... the chicken mole or Molecahete Azteca are amazing dishes but not seafood. If you are looking specifically for seafood, all of these restaurants feature mahi mahi done different ways, and shrimp also. Enjoy!
